The versatile Cisco 2502 is a wired router that comes equipped with one port; as a single LAN device, it has one token ring and a two-port serial as its data link protocols. The token ring of the Cisco router has the maximum data transfer rate of 16 Mbps, while the speed of the serial interface slot reaches 2 Mbps; the bandwidth can reach 4,400 packets per second. The remote management protocols supported include Telnet and SNMP. The Cisco 2502 complies with the IEEE 802.5 Internet standard and has 8 MB of flash memory. Moreover, the wired router is manageable by the user with full duplex capability. With a modular design, it can be mounted on a rack. The network/transport protocols of the Cisco router are as follows: TCP/IP and IPX/SPX. The device works with the 20 MHz Motorola 68030 processor.
