These new WAE models offer a superior solution for application acceleration for Web-based and applications servers, file servers, and streaming video.

Cisco Systems is announcing the availability of the Cisco WAE-512 and WAE-612 Wide Area Application Engines. These new products can ship installed with the latest Cisco Application and Content Networking System (ACNS) Software Version 5.4.3 or 5.5.1, the Cisco Wide Area File Services (WAFS) Software Version 3.0.7, or Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) Software Version 4.0.1. A separate license is required for each software version, and the two cannot run concurrently.
